Amul-Star Show of India
A weekend spent working,meetings,pitches,early morning looooong drives,debates,fundaes etc
and at the end of it all I come home to The Amul -Star Voice of India show.
I get up refreshed .... Bring on the WEEK !
The joy of listening to some divine voices..some amazing talent that is going to rock the world in the years to come.. Thanks Star Plus.
small time crib : get a Chennai/Hyderabad/Abroad audition going ... and maybe we will get some more awesome 'darshan'.

back to the show..
There was a conscious effort to 'spice' things up.Drama by the Judges,senti background stories on the participants (damn its almost a reality show in that sense).
But then the concern is that the spice might spoil the biryani..
All the same ... raises the question .. music, dance,cricket ... are these just some concepts to keep man entertained .. assure him that there is something in this world worth stressing your weekends for :) or is there something beyond human creation in the magic that art weaves on us mortals?

The Stage
And finally ! its all done .. it’s the time for the journey home at the end of a days work.
A crowd of nobodys drags itself to towards their heath for rest and drink.I lose myself in the daily exodus …drained …. hungry..thirsty.. clawing my way towards an inviting bed.
And along the way shines a light.
The courtyard of a school - lit up. A group of high school students.. still in uniform.
In a formation.. an audio player churns out the music for their composition…
United in purpose ..determined in their will … they sway their bodies to the rhythm
The end of another day ….no not yet… the beginning of a night ? No not yet ..it aint the time to rest…. But their dreams hold them in their trance…driven by their passion they pour their collective souls into their performance….
Ah … another choreography competition .. we manage a smile …
as I permit myself a skip hop in the dry procession towards the train terminal…
as I taste the long forgotten fruit under the streetlight ….
the magic takes me far away to another stage ...another crowd

mind your freaking language !
i witnessed fuck being used forcefully on two occasions today...
Scene 1 : Some argument at the karting track between a 15 something boy and an older father angry that he had dashed into his kids car unnecessarily.Looks like the dudes car brakes didnt work.The 15 something boy with this hep attitude reeled of multiple fucks to effectively put off the elderly gentleman (who was also atr fault ...wht the fuck can you do if the brake wasnt working?)
Scene 2:Some arguement at the ICICI bank atm where some (again) 16 something gal had lost her card in the machine and was asked (quite unchivalrously in my opinion) to move out of the atm area for whatever reason by another customer.
she (already tense) started screaming at the other customer and (u guessed it) let loose a string of F brahmastras to repel the customer away from the atm.
The important point is that the oldies get scandalised whenever anybody uses the F word.
hmmmm... is this right?
A certain section uses the F word merely to signal their state of mind/intensity during an argument.Agreed.But then should we just go ahead and allow all sorts of MC BC gaalis in public conversation?
