Gandhi : The Lost Chapter
Damn ! Iam considered boring....
what the fuck? (now dont tell me you thought i never used the F word)
Get a firang education, learn violin/dancing,crack some of the wittiest comments of my time,
stay fit as a fiddle and all they can remember me as is some old demi-god preaching boring crap.
Damn ! guys gimme a break !
I created the sexiest 'I dare u' game of all time ...
I dare you to speak the truth for just a day
I dare you to be nice to your fellow humans for just a day
I dare you to think as a society not as an individual ...
and of course if thats too boring... I dare you to love at the expense of exposing yourself to pain.
I tried ...all i can promise is a great experience.. experiment with truth not just tattoos
for ideals are like stars : we may not reach there but they sure help us navigate.
~ as narrated
some good old orkut comedy

Reality is an illusion caused by alcohol deficiency (from cafe mondies)
The Ashtray
Funny thing this ashtray...
Everytime I walk into the restaurant,it greets me with a smile.
I have a smoke and I burn the ashtray with my cigarette.
and yet the next time I land at my table, there it is- ready to be burnt again !

From orkut with love ...
Today's fortune:
He that falls in love with himself will have no rivals
smart alec comment : it is usually outta lack of choice but if solitude brings peace alongwoth it ..iam game !
now that even orkut has given up on my social prospects .... might as well get some work done !
(until orkut doles out : He who works for himself is king of all )

Scribblings from far away
From : Confessions of a confused mind
Just thought of copy pasting (again !) stuff from my previous blog on rediff.
The point being written in Dec 2003 these are truly posts from far away.....
Romance : where are we headed?
It was sometime between Vijay’s one handed rout of an entire rowdy gang and Ajith’s demolition of a bunch of police officers that I realized :if u want to be a hero there are only two professions to be pursued:Be a thug or be a police guy and pursue the thug !
The concept of a ‘normal’ office going software engineer or a doctor or any of the hajaaar professionals who sweat it out being romantic seems almost impossible .. or so our dear story writers would make us believe. The last time I actually had a look at a ‘normal’ non-police non-rowdy character proclaim love was I think in alaipayuthey .(a long time back unless u are a sudu and ur knowledge of tam movies is as inchoate as my cleanliness program)Some might pullout of their minds a few characters who might have shown the possibilities in a non khaki guy but then think hard ..squeeze those grey cells a bit more and iam sure u will find that an element of physical power… a dash of the hero’s muscular abilities would have been neatly (maybe subtly) conveyed to make him a bit more appealing. No wonder then that while surya ,ajith have added khaki to their wardrobe,Vijay and co have opted for a more roguish image. Some might wonder why I didn’t comment on Vikram .. and the answer is : I quote from 'saamy' :“ naan police illa poruki !”.Another contestant to be judged is Madhavan.. he ..hmm ..he is a smart guy! ... probe a bit beyond those chocolatey characters and u will find as in minnale that u need to have atleast an intro as a rowdy to convince the audience that here is a stud.Iam excluding kamalhaasan from this analysis coz of the fact that he has stopped projecting himself as a hero .. in the sense that it is never kamal but his characters that do the talking ( coz kamalhaasan simply melts into his character and the original ‘superstar’ no longer exists!)
so what was the point of all this analysis ? I just wanted to point out that increasingly ‘we guys’ and by that I refer to the vast majority of law abiding youth tend to think of romance as something that junta in khaki and rowdies indulge in (if u've read 'arms and the man':g.b.shaw u might get a better idea of whatever it is iam trying to put across) .
And please by romance I do not confine myself to the skirt chasing that most of us indulge in anyway : iam referring to the charm ,to the nobleness/desirability of each and every line of life. Why is it that we need to get copied and recopied documentaries of : “ ithuthaanda police” , “ police rowdy” ,”karupaaayeeee i.p.s “ etc etc ?
what about “ munniyandi b.tech” or “ mein bill gates banna chahta hoon” or maybe “ithuthaanda doctor!” or “maanagara clerk” ? how come we haven’t yet got a decent “super miner 2003”? and those of you who trash my argument by declaring that films made on ‘the rest’ are gonna be art films : puhleeeeeeeeez …..
put on your specs..let us not get myopic …
think about it.

Prithvi's pyre
An Appollonian Aphrodite
Born I was cold and lifeless
an eternity i waited for ur warmth
You germinated my world : my gratitude
Life it bloomed-an explosion of colour, painting my landscape
History did record our time together ... War and Peace
a zillion years that went in a flash.. thirsty i was to embrace you my love
expanding, tightening your grip ... the HEAT
Burn me , extinguishing Life
For if death be the price of a kiss
smile i will into my pyre
Born I was cold and lifeless
an eternity i waited for ur warmth
You germinated my world : my gratitude
Life it bloomed-an explosion of colour, painting my landscape
History did record our time together ... War and Peace
a zillion years that went in a flash.. thirsty i was to embrace you my love
expanding, tightening your grip ... the HEAT
Burn me , extinguishing Life
For if death be the price of a kiss
smile i will into my pyre
